Must Read! American Missionary Kidnapped in Kogi State

Rev. Mrs. Phillis Sortor, An American evangelist, age 87, was on Monday kidnapped by  shooters in Kogi State. An observer said Sortor, a teacher specialist with Methodist Church, situated in Emi-woro group along Ajaokuta/Okene Road, was grabbed inside the congregation premises by six veiled shooters at around 10a.m. A man, who recognized himself as Pastor Jacob Ahiaba, said he was at a meeting with the lady when the shooters all of a sudden attacked the school and swooped on her.




The minister, who said he was the organization colleague to the exploited person, said the gangsters hopped over the divider from a close-by hedge into the congregation premises, which likewise housed Hope Academy, a gathering of essential and optional schools run by the congregation.

He said the shooters hurried into the workplace and asked everyone to rests.

In his words: "I saw them taking the lady away and I asked them for what reason they were doing that as the lady was extremely old and delicate, and one of them hit my head with the handle of the firearm.

"They took her over the divider into the hedge and up till now we have not seen her. We later alarmed the police," he said.

At the point when reached over the issue, Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) in the state, Sola Collins affirmed the episode and said the lady was dragged to climb the slope alongside them when she was kidnapped.

He said the police had braced the scene of the wrongdoing while break investigators were on the trail of the abductors.

Three different snatching cases have been recorded in the Central Senatorial region of the state with the most recent being a Director of Local Government, who was saved a weekend ago.
